With Patch 67, also known as Sevenfold Apex, coming to PC. Quite a few things are going to change as far as end game TERA is concerned. In short there’s going to be new skills for 7 of the existing classes, which will be in the form of new Active Skills as well as Passive Skills. As well as passive buff to the classes that do not get new skills, these classes are supposedly getting new skills in the Summer of this year. This is for the korean version of TERA, which means that we can expect them towards the latter half of this year, further information on this has not yet been released. This post will hopefully answer all questions you may have regarding this patch.

Awakening

At this point you might ask what are all these changes, a mentioned above. The core of this patch is a new storyline that will be available once you hit ILVL 439, which is the equilavent of 4 star dungeons. In other words, full +0 Frostmetal gear part Daylight Accessories will get you access to this specific story quest. Of course as it is only 7 out of all classes not all classes will gain this story quest. This quests rewards you with awakening skills, superior glyph for your class and 5 extra glyph points raising your maximum glyph points to 60.

This most definitely has consequences as far as game balance goes, there will be a gap between the DPS classes that have gotten Awakening and the ones that have not. To avoid that there have been several class changes as well as a passive skill called “Potential”. This will give the Non-Awakening classes an approximately 30% damage increase when attacking monsters, which you can see on the right. Along with this passive the Non-Awakened classes have also gotten some buffs, with the exception of Reaper. While this does not entirely make up for the gap between the classes, it certainly helps push things along.

Recall Cooldowns have been decreased by 10 for every skill level.
Bombardment Decreased consumption of Willpower from 1500 to 1000

Mystic

Skill name Change
Warding Totem Warding effect is specified as a shield that lasts 5 seconds.
Healing increased from 3,500 HP to 7,000 HP every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.

Warding Totem now gives 2 buffs. First one is [Primal Surge] which lasts for 3 seconds then comes back immediately after it expires, while the other is Warding Totem Shield (absorbs same amount of 7,149 HP) that lasts 6 seconds.

Technically, since Totem lasts 10 seconds, the [Primal Surge] lasts 12 seconds because it procs when totem is summoned, 4th second, 7th second, and 10th second of totem uptime.

Titanic Favor Healing Decreased to 2,182 HP
Heal additional 15,000HP on each hit while the party member has [Primal Surge] effect from [Warding Totem].
Boomerang Pulse Healing Decreased to 1,951 HP
Heal additional 15,000HP on each hit up to two hits while the party member has [Primal Surge] effect from [Warding Totem].
Corruption Ring Slightly different visuals
Shara’s Leash When the stun ends, the target is slowed for short time.
Vow of Rebirth Changed effect duration from 5 minutes to 10 minutes
Thrall of Protection Cooldown is 50 seconds
Thrall of Life [Superior Glyph] Persistent Thrall of Life – 20% chace to reset cooldown

Every awakened class recieves one superior grade glyph on completing awakening quest, here is the list of them:

Awakening Questline

This will be a step by step guide to completing the Awakening Questline.

To start off the quest you will talk to Braga in Highwatch HQ – the building in middle of HW where skill trainer were.
He will give you an letter which you can use to teleport to Velika
You will be teleported towards Nerinda, talk to her twice to teleport to Verdas
Then you will find Kamilia and talk to her
Talk to Seir and enjoy the cutscene
After the cutscene talk to Meren
Use /dance to dance with the party people
Talk to Etomar nearby the store
Choose a food, none of them give the actual buff so pick whatever.
Talk to Olivung to receive the meal, use it to progress the questline.
Talk to Eritomar again.
Go to Carbest the game host and get ready to play a game of RNG, 100% chances of winning.
Open a chest and enjoy your prize
Pick up the item from the chest
Talk to the game host again and then move to Meren
Seir will spawn in and you talk to him and teleport and enjoy the cutscene
Talk to Seir again and then talk to the surrounding NPCs and then enjoy yet another cutscene

Go back to the dance floor
Talk to the Elin dying on the floor
Kill the Dracoloth, yes you get to do something
Talk to Verdas underneath the rock
Enjoy yet another cutscene and go back 3 days in time

Use the Velika Banquet Coin which you got from the chest
Talk to nearby Guard
Talk to Seir in his usual spot
Go to Maius near the Pegasus Platform
Talk to Bellenun on the Pegasus Platform and his friend to teleport

Find Lossina and talk to her
Go outside and talk to the Soldier
Choose any option and get ready to kill some BAMs
Talk to the dying man on the ground
Go back to Verdas and talk to the guy standing near him
Follow him and whenever he stops talk to him, your choices do not affect the outcome in any way.
You encounter a weird plant a Dragon and you kill it
Talk to Verdas cause he can’t get enough of your attention
Another plant and dragon, kill it again
Enter random girl that attacks you, you are allowed to hit women for once
She summons Dragon and you kill it.

Keep Verdas company by talking to him
Talk to the dead bodies in the camp, then your new best friend Verdas
Keep running and talk to your buddy again, monsters will appear but you can ignore them and run past them
Chase the woman that randomly started atacking you
Kill some more dragons and free prisoners
Repeat this 3 times
Talk to your slightly overattached friend Verdas and follow you
Woman appears again and drops a letter, use it in your inventory to read it
Talk to …. again, yes him.
Interact with Unknown Device and teleport

Talk to him one last time and say goodbye
Kill some nearby mobs and talk to Poisoned Shurian Summoner
Kill 2 of both dragons
Proceed farther inside th area
An army appears, talk to them
JK Guess who’s back, talk to Verdas
Chase after the guy using the portal device and do the same
Move forward and yu will get a cutscene
(Try to) kill the dragon
Go to center of area and interact with Mystel’s Aura
Kill your inner deamons in acid trip
Approach each of 3 of your regrets and defeat the boss that spawns
Talk to Mystel
Actually kill the dragon now
Talk to Braga again
Reentact the festival day again

  4. Hey, first of all that’s well written. Second, I want to ask which rotation I should use as berserker while awakening rage is on? Spamming all keys don’t seem right to me. Ty 🙂
