This post is an informational post regarding the new Ethereal Jewelry that got added in the Old Enemies patch which also brings back Shadow Sanguinary as a temporary Event Dungeon.

General Information

First of all let’s go over what the new Jewelry is. Ethereal Jewelry is nothing special, rather it’s just a new tier of accessories to line up with the release of Heroic Oath gear. The stats on the new gear are in line with the previous upgrades, you gain 1 Power or 2 Crit Factor per Ring/Earring along with a maginal upgrade in Attack and Defense Modifiers. Is it worth upgrading these? Yes definitely, while it might not seem like a lot. The total amount of Power or Crit Factor you gain from this is quite large, the actual damage increase is different for every class.

If you wish to calculate what you’ll gain from the Power the jewelry gives the formula for this is, of course this is not accounting for temporary buffs like healer buffs or Adrenaline Rush:
Damage Increase = (100 + x + Total Power) / (100 + Total Power)
In which x is the amount of Power you gain.

Just like with Veilthroch, the materials, with the exception of Scavenged Supplies, can not be stored in either the Bank or Guild Bank. So you’re going to have to gather them on the Character you wish to upgrade the Jewelry for.

Upgrading

To upgrade Entropy pieces to Ethereal you’re going to need materials again, needing Silver Plates and Diamonds are the same as for Entropy however the 3 other materials you are required to use are new. They’ll be shown below:

Scavenged Supplies

[Dropped Material] Common metal cut into pieces. Used as the basis for equipment and accessories.


Dismantles into Metamorphic Emblem x 600.

Dragon Skull

These materials are dropped in the different 5 star difficulty dungeons:
Scavenged Supplies can be found in Ruinuous Manor Hard Mode, Shadow Sanguinary Hard Mode, Antaroth’s Abyss Hard Mode and RK9-Kennel Hard/Extreme mode.
Devi’s Claw can be found in Shadow Sanguinary Hard Mode and Ruinuous Manor Hard Mode
Dragon’s Skull can be found in Antaroth’s Abyss Hard Mode and RK-9 Kennel Hard/Extreme mode.

The base chance of enchanting these pieces is 5%, going up to 15% at maximum Item EXP which is 158.994. So that’s 1 percent point chance increase per 15.899 XP.
Failing to enchant an Entropy piece into Etheral will give you a flat 2 percent points increase on your next enchant. This is 3 percent points on Daylight.
