Ninja is TERA’s new 12th class to be introduced. This class is race-locked (and gender-locked) to the Elin race. It is a fast-moving, fast-attacking cloth class that can quickly maneuver the battlefield. It uses both melee and ranged attacks, though its playstyle keeps it mostly melee. Ninjas utilize a third resource called Chi which is built and consumed for two skills (Burning Heart and Fire Avalanche).

Ninja Passives

Poised Steps


[Passive] Reduces chance of being Knocked down / Staggered.
The chance of being Knocked down/ Staggered is reduced by 10% due to Posied Steps.


Focused Chi


[Passive] Chi Degeneration Prevention and Additional Regeneration
On successful hit, chi will not degenerate for 30 seconds. Also, hitting player characters will regenerate chi twice as much. The generated Chi will be used on skills : Burning Heart and Fire Avalanche.

  5. Could be really good in pvp, but we haven’t really seen how easy/hard most of these abilities are to actually land.

  6. This is totally broken AF, no need to even think about it. I think I counted ELEVEN abilities with a pull, knock up, stagger, or stun. This is a complete joke of a class, even if these abilities have a chance to CC the target. All you have to do if one CC misses is just attack with something else because basically it looks like almost every ability has a hard CC on it.

    Goodbye PVP, that’s for sure.

    I honestly think for NA this is going to push more people away from this game than it is going to be drawing new people in. I can definitely assume a lot of older class veterans wil get sick of it pretty quick and be done with this game. I know I won’t be playing this champ, this is so broken there won’t be a sliver of challenge left in the game.

    • Keep in mind that they are a cloth class and have no death avoiding passive like gunner or brawler.

      • Or Reaper shadow protection for that matter. But still with all that mobility and iframe capability they will be difficult to get around in pvp. Even if they are glass if they don’t get hit then they’ll be a problem. Pve aspect they seem to be really good, looks fun, flashy, I’m probably gonna use it as an alt dps for more credits and dungeon runs without having to reset.

    • they’re melee cloth, which puts them at huge risks so yes, they need that cc. i mean look at sorcs, do you think they’re broken? they got nastier cc that they can use from range.

  8. How is Transform work in battlegrounds if used on an enemy player? Does it disguise the ninja completely or does it still display the hostile red health bar and red icon on map to enemy player?
