The Dawnfall update makes several significant changes to the TERA landscape, including a dramatic upheaval on the Island of Dawn, the anticipated release of Forsaken Island (Hard), and the dynamic return of the Dreadspire.

New Solo Content: Island of Dawn

After the destruction of the World Tree, the idyllic Island of Dawn has been transformed into a burning wasteland crawling with foul creatures. Veteran adventurers are being called back to their beginnings to rid the former starting zone of hordes of powerful BAMs and to solve the mystery of how the World Tree was destroyed.

Forsaken Island Hard Mode

Forsaken Island, TERA’s current top-level dungeon, pits the hardiest adventurers in some of the best armor in the game against three of the toughest bosses ever added to TERA. Now, prepare for it to get even harder. The new Forsaken Island (Hard) dungeon will test the resolve of the best of the best of the best.

    Gear drops include:

  • Starfall Belt, Captain’s Earring, and Captain’s Ring
  • Dreadnaught and Starfall crafting materials
  • Desolarus Tokens: redeemable for rare glyphs, Schisma gear, and Captain’s jewelry

Dreadspire Season 2

The Dreadspire is returning to Tempest Reach, with two new upper-level challenges. Shandra Manaya remains at the pinnacle as the 22nd challenge. Nightmare Koleogg (from Rift’s Edge) and Kaprima (from Vault of Kaprima) have been added as challenges 20 and 21.

  • Challenges 1-15 offer crafting materials for gear up to Dreadnaught (tier 8)
  • Challenges 16-19 offer jewels, tier 9 feedstock, Niveot shards, and Desolarus Tokens
  • Challenges 20-22 also offer the Smolder mount (20), BoE Starfall armor (21), and BoE Starfall weapons (22)

Class Changes

Lancer

Damage Buff: Damage against boss monsters have significantly increased.
Debilitate: This skill becomes chainable into Spring Attack.
Debilitate: This skill in PvP that places a reduced healing debuff has been toned down from 50% to 30%.
Guardian Shout: The power and endurance buff on your party members will be applied to the caster of this skill.
Shield Counter: This skill becomes chainable into Spring Attack.
Stand Fast: Hold the Line passive buff has been doubled and additional stacks lowered from 20 to 10.
Wallop: When using this skill you’ll automatically be blocking damage in front of you.
Brawler
PvE Changes: Damage done to boss monsters only are reduced by 7.5%.
PvP: Overall PvP damage has been lowered by 20%.
Deadly Fury: Cooldown will now be displayed on the skill’s icon.
Jackhammer: A fully stacked endurance debuff will decrease from 12% to 6%.
Jackhammer: Endurance debuff will be overwritten by Warrior’s Combative Strike and Berserker’s Punishing Strike.
Rampage: This skill will no longer knock-up players in PvP.
Counter: This is the only skill in PvP that can block incoming damage from players while everything else that used to block damage will have no affect.
Defensive skills: Executing a perfect defense on skills will now award you 40% instead of 50% increased skill damage.

Slayer

Fury Strike: This skill in PvP that places a reduced healing debuff have been toned down from 50% to 30%.
Headlong Rush: Decrease cooldown from 12 to 10 seconds.
Heart Thrust: Decrease cooldown from 15 to 12 seconds.
Heart Thrust: Increases base damage by 20%. Version V base damage from 2631 to 3157. PvP damage will be excluded from this increased base damage.
Heart Thrust: MP cost reduced from 250 to 220.
Knockdown Strike: Increases base damage by 20%. Version XI base damage from 2084 to 2501.
Knockdown Strike: MP cost reduced from 170 to 150.
Measured Slice: Decrease cooldown from 12 to 10 seconds.
Measured Slice: Increases base damage by 20%. Version II base damage from 3755 to 4506. PvP damage will be excluded from the increased base damage.
MP Management: If reaching full MP when you first exit out of combat the MP decay will be starting after 1 minute instead of 16 seconds.
MP Management: MP decay when not in combat will go down by 10 per second instead of 40.
MP Management: When you first exit out of combat the MP decay will be starting after 1 minute instead of 11 seconds.
Overhand Strike: Decreased cooldown from 5.5 to 4 seconds.
Overhand Strike: MP cost reduced from 150 to 120.
Overhand Strike: Skill will receive a 30% crit chance boost.
Startling Kick: Decrease cooldown from 20 to 16 seconds.
Whirlwind: Decrease cooldown from 11 to 10 seconds.
Whirlwind: Increases base damage by 10%. Version XI base damage from 4023 to 4425.

Gunner

Arcane Barrage: Base damage reduced by 10% however PvP damage is left the same. Version VIII base damage on the second hit from 4352 to 3917.
Emergency Barrier: Cooldown will now be displayed on the skill’s icon.
Rolling Reload: Glyph of Energy (common) change from 35% to 25% chance to eliminate cooldown.
Rolling Reload: Glyph of Energy (uncommon) change from 45% to 30% chance to eliminate cooldown.
Rolling Reload: Glyph of Energy (rare) change from 50% to 35% chance to eliminate cooldown.

Berserker

Damage Buff: Damage against open world BAMs and boss monsters have slightly increased.
Cyclone: Increased crit chance by 20%.
Thunderstrike: Increased crit chance by 20%.
Mocking Shout: Glyph of Haste will be replaced by Glyph of Haste that increases charging speed of Cyclone by 30%. Costs 3 glyph points to use and uncommon glyph costs 2 glyph points.

Sorcerer

Magma Bomb: Base damage increased by 20%. Version XI base damage from 2365 to 2838.
Ice Needle: Base damage increased by 20%. Version X base damage from 1724 to 2068.
Flame Pillar: Base damage reduced by 40%. Version XI base damage from 2534 to 1521.
Overchannel: The increased damage will only apply to the next following skill: Fireblast, Nova, Void Pulse, and Flaming Barrage.
Hailstorm: Base damage increased by 20% however PvP damage is left the same. Version IV base damage from 8614 to 10337.
Void Pulse: Base damage increased by 10% however PvP damage is left the same. Version VI base damage from 6158 to 6774.
Nova: Base damage increased by 10% however PvP damage is left the same. Version I base damage from 5245 to 5770.
Fireblast: Base damage remains the same however PvP damage will decrease by 10%.
Nerve Exhaustion: The silence effect will disappear against players that take damage or is knocked down.
Time Gyre: Cooldown increased from 20 to 35 seconds.
Time Gyre: Casting has been increased from instant cast time to .3 seconds.
Burning Breath: Glyph of Hinder that places a reduced healing debuff has been toned down from 50% to 30%.
Burning Breath: Glyph of Hinder glyph points reduced from 4 to 2.
Lightning Trap: Stun duration against players will become 2/3 of the duration aka reduced from 6 to 4 seconds. It’s still 6 seconds against monsters.
Lightning Trap: Increase the stun success rate on monsters.

Warrior

Combative Strike: This skill in PvP that places a reduced healing debuff has been toned down from 50% to 30%.
Combative Strike: Endurance debuff will now be overwritten by Berserker’s Punishing Strike.

Reaper

Whipsaw: This skill in PvP that places a reduced healing debuff has been toned down from 50% to 30%. It’ll need 5 stacks landed on your target to become 30%.
Veil of Shadows: Cooldown will now be displayed on the skill’s icon.

Archer

Ensnaring Trap: Glyph of Enfeeblement (uncommon) from 5 to 25 seconds to decrease target’s endurance from 3.5% to 4.55%. Glyph points reduced from 5 to 3.
Ensnaring Trap: Glyph of Enfeeblement (rare) from 15 to 25 seconds to decrease target’s endurance from 3.5% to 4.55%. Glyph points reduced from 5 to 2.
Ensnaring Trap: Glyph of Enfeeblement from Mystics will not overwrite this skill’s endurance debuff. Warrior’s Traverse Cut will now overwrite this skill’s endurance debuff.
